Source: Cowboys Among Two Teams 'Interested' in Haason Reddick
USA Today

The Philadelphia Eagles have a decision to make regarding standout pass rusher Haason Reddick this offseason, but options could be emerging on the trade market, potentially allowing Philly to avoid signing the two-time Pro Bowler to a larger contract and instead receive some value in return.

Sources tell our own Mike Fisher that the Eagles are receiving trade interest for Reddick from the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Cowboys have "respect'' for Reddick as well, which is why our source mentions those two among the teams that are "interested'' in making a move. (There are rumors mentioning Detroit, Houston and New England here, but we have not confirmed.)

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said during his NFL Combine media availability that Reddick is an "unbelievable" player but that balancing the present and the future is the "hardest job." The Eagles likely don't want to part ways with Reddick, but may not feel signing him to a new deal is worth it considering he'll be 30 at the start of next season.

“Haason obviously (is) an unbelievable player for the Philadelphia Eagles,” said Roseman. “Local kid, great success story. … Love having Haason.

“I think that anything you're trying to do, you're trying to blend obviously what you're trying to do this year and how you're going to look in the future. I think that's the hardest job. Certainly, (I) don't want to get into any specifics with any conversations with players, but (I) have tremendous respect for the player and the person.”

Reddick, 29, previously denied reports that he requested a trade, though the Eagles reportedly gave he and his team permission to seek one with the contract situation unclear.

In two seasons with the Eagles, Reddick has played in 34 games while posting 87 total tackles, 27 sacks, six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and four passes defended.
