Phoenix Suns’ Kevin Durant Reveals True Feelings on Disrespectful Anthony Edwards Game 3 Celebration
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

After forming an All-Star core during the offseason, the Phoenix Suns have found themselves in a 3-0 hole against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves . This prompted Kevin Durant to share his thoughts on their predicament and how his opponent celebrated their Game 3 win.

Just recently, the Timberwolves took a commanding 3-0 lead against Phoenix when they took home the 126-109 win . Edwards put on an impressive show by dropping 36 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in almost 43 minutes on the court. Rudy Gobert made 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 18 points and 13 boards of his own.

For his part, Durant finished the game with 25 points and five rebounds. Bradley Beal led the Suns in scoring by notching 28 points on 52 percent shooting from the field. Devin Booker contributed 23 points and eight rebounds for Phoenix.

The loss sunk Phoenix to a 0-3 hole, a position most teams in the playoffs have never recovered from. If the Kevin Durant-led team loses another game, all the hype generated by their offseason acquisition of Beal will amount to nothing. On the other hand, Edwards and the Timberwolves are on the brink of their first playoff series victory in decades.

Phoenix Suns Star Kevin Durant Reveals What He Feels About Anthony Edwards’ Game 3 Win Celebration

After the game, Durant spoke to reporters and shared his thoughts about Edwards’ Game 3 win celebration. In video shared by Gerald Bourguet on X:

Once Minnesota clinched the dub, Edwards was seen doing the DGeneration X gesture on the court. The said gesture was made popular by WWE stars Shawn Michaels and Triple H during the company’s Attitude Era in the late 90s.

Whether Edwards’ celebration was deemed disrespectful or not seemed like it was beyond Durant at this point of his career. What matter’s now for the two-time NBA champion is how they can prevent a sweep, and ultimately, take the series back from the Timberwolves.
